Rowing is one of the countries oldest and most prestigous sports so it is only natural that Exeter University, probably the best university in the world, should be part of this tradition. 2006-07 saw one of the University's most successful years on record with some incredible results across the board; from the novice squad's victories at BUSA to an array of medals at Metropolitan and Marlow Regattas. This year we are looking to go several steps further by recruiting experienced rowers and anyone else who is just keen to have a go, and with well over 100 members, Exeter University Boat Club is going from strength to strength.
The Club has also recieved a generous donation from a member of the EUBC Alumni that has enabled the process of re-developing the Boathouse and revising the Club's equipment. In addition to this news, the University has announced its intention to appoint a Director of Rowing for the academic year 2009/10. This mood of change and development has given the Club a focus, as the benefits of increased funding and resources will allow us to be more competative on the University and the National rowing circuit.
